The action

Based on initial experiences with the women and girls from I.E.V.P. Ali Demi, various issues have been observed, ranging from the criminal offenses they had committed, personal histories, their backgrounds, and their families. The areas or communities they belong to have shown marked aggression and reluctance towards communication. Through the association’s contact with them, it became apparent that they wanted to engage in activities where they felt they were making a contribution and were capable of doing so. They needed attention and felt valued.

Theater is the appropriate medium and form to convey this to these women and girls. This view has been reinforced by the association’s ongoing work, using theater as an educational tool in social and closed institutions.

The project will span four months, from January 2025 until the end of April 2025, culminating in the premiere. Most of the work will be done on weekends due to geographical distance, with more intensive efforts in April.
-Stage One: Selection of the play, auditions, and role assignments.
-Stage Two: The working group process, including designing and selecting the set, sketching and creating costumes, graphic designs for posters, etc. This phase also involves setting the work calendar, obtaining permissions to enter the institution, and arranging meetings for the venue where the premiere will be held in Pogradec.
– Stage Three: Table work (play analysis).
– Stage Four: The mise-en-scène (stage movement), the connection of all the components of the show such as scenography, costume design, lighting and movements in one. And the premiere.Women and girls from I.E.V.P. will be involved in this process, not only those selected for the play.
