The action

Nisma për Ndryshim Shoqëror – ARSIS is a non-profit organization that was established in Tirana on February 2016. Ever since NISMA ARSIS has transformed itself into an influential non-governmental actor in the civil society sector in Albania and beyond. Mission of ARSIS: To promote the rights, to provide services and sustainable solutions for children, youth and families in vulnerable situations as well as for the marginalized Roma/Egyptian communities and other social groups in Albania. The purpose of the proposed intervention is to further strengthen social and community responsibility towards the groups most in need. The initiative aims to encourage all young people, children but also every citizen who seeks to help strengthen the sense of solidarity and civic values in children. Due to socio-economic difficulties or lack of parental care, these children need to know that their lives can be affected by an entire society which has the power to intervene as soon as possible to bring about change. The support which is proposed to be provided to children belonging to vulnerable communities like Selita and Yzberisht will provide the creation of a friendly environment in the school premises and then the day center near the community of Selita to increase the sense of equality and reduction of discrimination mainly in the school environment. What is supposed to be achieved is the creation of a “safe space” in which all children who do not have the opportunity to have the necessary school supplies, clothing, teaching materials, books, or other necessary items that are required during the lessons , to be offered in these friendly spaces dedicated to their inclusion in the social environment.
