Two very nice projects have started recently on the Smile.al platform. The theme of these projects consists in two sensitive causes, while each one of them aims to give a very positive message for what they convey. The project: “Race/Support as a Marathon runner “, of the Down Syndrome Albania Foundation, aims to raise funds to support the therapeutic services of 43 children of the Pro Pak center. A project that affects a social cause to support these children to improve their growth, development and integration in society. As beautiful as it is sensitizing for us as a society, to understand not only that we need to support children with different abilities, as well as showing our support and to create the right spaces and opportunities for a safe future for them . The second project: “The Albanian Amputee’s Team 2019” aims to perceive the extraordinary spirit of these people, who find strength and motivation in the beautiful sport of socker. They have created their favorite team, having participated in several international competitions, but today they want to expand their activity by creating other teams throughout Albania. Very challenging as a project, but when you are next to them you realize how much they desire to move forward overcoming difficulties. Therefore, we must support them as much as we can to realize their dream and such a beautiful project. Several new projects will soon be launched on the platform, all with specific, special, meaningful and so necessary causes for our society today, to understand that as individuals and businesses, we must contribute to philanthropic activities that bring value for a better society.
But how does the Smile.al platform work?
The Smile platform gives to the non-profit organizations the opportunity, (during the opening of the call), to launch projects with social impact on society, in one of the 7 areas defined on the platform. Each winning project is placed then on the platform, seeking support through donations from individuals and businesses. The project defines the purpose for which it is requested to collect funds from the public, the impact on society, the relevant budget to be realized, as well as the obligation to demonstrate its implementation in front of all donors on the platform with photos or videos.
Once the project is placed on the Smile platform, every individual and business in Albania or around the world can contribute online. You simply have to choose a project whose purpose you like, and read more about it. Next, through the “donate” button, you can go directly to a process where the amount you wish to donate, no matter how small, is selected. The payment is made using a bank card and the process is easily completed in a few seconds.
Each donor can make their name public or not, according to everyone’s wish. A confirmation e-mail of your contribution by donating, will arrive at your personal electronic address.
Everyone has the opportunity to see directly in real time how many funds have been collected for each one of the projects, to confirm his/her donation, as well as the value that has not yet been collected to realize the project. The platform offers complete transparency.
