One of the successfully completed projects on the Smile.al platform is “Support like a marathon runner”, launched by the “Down Syndrome Albania” Foundation. For the realization of this project, a budget of 360,800 All was collected from the targeted 660,000 All, for which we express our thanks to all contributors.
In order to increase transparency towards each donor, in the last few days we had the pleasure of being at the “ProPak” Center, part of this foundation, where Mrs. Flavia Shehu, head of this institution and Mrs. Mirela Juka, project manager at FDSA, introduced us to some of the children who benefited from physical and developmental therapeutic treatment thanks to this project.
Such therapies help an individual with Down syndrome develop and improve conceptual skills, motor skills, language and communication skills, socio-emotional and self-help skills. Also, through this therapy, the children improved their skills in the process of dressing and undressing, the process of feeding, as well as the ability to play and interact with peers. The goal of this therapy was to develop the child’s potential, in order to achieve personal, social and academic independence.
This beautiful project was made possible thanks to the first and only public fundraising platform Smile.al. Other beautiful projects are currently on the platform, so we invite all individuals and businesses to donate for a better society.
